Burano is a sleeveless top with a very simple shape which can be worn both on the right side as well as the wrong side - two tops in one! Its name takes inspiration from the Venetian island known for its colourful houses, curtains across their doors and laundry drying in the sun and wind. Just the thing for a collection of pretty, lightweight summer tops.

The tank is knitted seamlessly from the top down. First, the neckline is worked with some short rows and increases are worked for the shoulders. Then the front and back parts are worked separately back and forth. The body (back and front, joined at the underarms) is worked in the round to the hem.

YARN AND COLOURS

Please note that size 5 requires 700m of yarn, which is exactly 2 skeins. We have specified 3 skeins for size 5, to allow for possible differences between skeins and ensure that you do not run out of yarn. If you wish to take the chance on using 2 skeins only, please buy the smaller size.

3.5 mm circular needles (or size needed to make gauge)

24 rows x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking.
